Things happen in life. Plans change, businesses change, families change and sometimes a yacht that was spoken for suddenly becomes available again.
With a growing number of highly individual HH Catamarans being built for owners around the world, this happens from time to time. An owner cannot continue, a delivery no longer fits the original plan, or circumstances simply change somewhere along the way.
Rather than leaving those yachts in limbo, HH has stepped in and taken a number of them back. That is how the HH Ready to Sail Fleet came into existence.
These are not used boats, ex-charter yachts or boats with a previous life. They are new HH Catamarans, either already completed or well into construction. In some cases there is still time for a new owner to make important choices regarding equipment, interior and specification.
For a buyer, that creates something quite unusual.
A new performance catamaran normally comes with a waiting period. There is the production slot, the build, the systems installation, commissioning and sea trials. With the Ready to Sail Fleet, much of that time has already passed.
The hull exists. The build is underway. In some cases the yacht is already nearly finished.
That means a new owner can step into a yacht that is much closer to delivery, while still benefiting from the normal HH support and warranties.
There is also something interesting about these boats. They were not built as anonymous stock yachts. Each one started life as somebody’s carefully considered project. Decisions were made, equipment was selected and a sailing programme was imagined.
Then life changed.
For the original owner, that is unfortunate. For somebody else, it can create a very rare opportunity.
At the moment, we have a small number of HH Catamarans available in different sizes and at different stages of completion. Some are close to ready. Others still allow room for personalisation.
All of them offer one important advantage: a new HH Catamaran without the normal wait.
Sometimes things simply fall between the cracks.
And sometimes that is exactly where the interesting opportunities are.
