A new HH56 with a significantly shorter delivery time
For sailors considering a new HH56 performance cruising catamaran, there is currently an attractive opportunity to step into a yacht that is already under construction.
This HH56 is being built at the HH Catamarans shipyard in China. Construction has already started, while most of the important owner-specific choices remain open. This gives a future owner the benefit of a yacht that is already progressing through the production schedule without losing the freedom normally associated with a new build.
Based on the current stage of construction, we expect completion to be possible in approximately 15 months from contract signing, depending on the final specification and equipment selected.
Built ahead – without taking away the owner’s choices
HH Catamarans occasionally starts construction of selected yachts before a final owner has been assigned. The objective is simple: reduce the long waiting period normally associated with a completely new production slot.
The yacht is brought forward to a carefully selected stage. Decisions that determine the owner’s individual sailing experience, interior preferences and equipment package are deliberately left open.
Once a buyer selects the yacht, the final specification is agreed with HH and construction continues around the requirements of that owner.
The result is an interesting middle ground: much of the waiting time has already been absorbed, while the yacht can still become very much your own.
Part of the HH Ready to Sail Fleet

Ready to Sail does not necessarily mean that every yacht is already finished and waiting at the dock. The fleet also includes selected HH Catamarans that are already well advanced in production and can therefore be delivered considerably sooner than a yacht ordered from a completely new build slot.

About the HH56
The HH56 is designed for sailors who want real performance under sail while retaining the comfort, space and equipment required for extended cruising and living aboard.
Her advanced carbon-composite construction creates a light, stiff and efficient platform. This is fundamental to the HH philosophy: performance is not achieved simply by adding more sail area, but by keeping weight under control and creating a yacht that responds easily and efficiently in a wide range of conditions.
The HH56 is an evolution of the proven HH55. Among the most noticeable changes are the slightly extended transoms and the integration of the highly successful forward cockpit.
Forward cockpit – particularly valuable when sailing as a couple
The forward cockpit is one of those features that becomes more convincing the more time you spend aboard.
It creates a protected working and sailing area with excellent visibility and convenient access to the sail controls. Instead of repeatedly moving between the aft cockpit, helm and foredeck, the crew can handle many of the important sailing functions from one central area.
For a cruising couple or a small crew, that can make a considerable difference. Communication is easier, movement around the yacht is reduced and sail handling becomes more straightforward.
The forward cockpit also provides another comfortable outdoor living area when the yacht is at anchor.
A cruising interior tailored to the owner
Inside, the HH56 is spacious, contemporary and filled with natural light. Large windows connect the saloon with the sea and surroundings and give the yacht the open atmosphere expected from a modern performance catamaran.
Because this particular yacht is still in build, there remains considerable scope to personalise the final yacht. Depending on the stage of construction and final specification, choices can still be made regarding materials, finishes, equipment and elements of the accommodation.
This makes the yacht particularly interesting for an owner who wants the benefits of a new HH56 built around their own cruising plans, but does not want to start at the beginning of the normal build queue.
