At 56 feet, the design challenge is how to combine the advantages of length — speed, comfort and load capacity — with easy handling for a short-handed crew. This has been achieved by offering two distinct versions: the Itinere, featuring a raised central helm station that provides excellent visibility and protection, and the Gran Turismo, equipped with twin aft helm stations on deck for a more direct and sporty sailing experience. The Intinere version is equiped with mini keels, where the Gran Turisimo features curved daggerboards for maximum upwind performance.

Advanced Composite Construction

The hull and deck are built using Corecell composite construction with advanced epoxy infusion technology, creating a structure that is both extremely strong and lightweight. Key structural components such as the mast, daggerboards, crossbeam, compression beam and bowsprit, are all built in carbon further increasing stiffness and performance.

This construction philosophy ensures durability, structural integrity and excellent sailing characteristics, allowing the yacht to remain responsive while maintaining high levels of safety and reliability.

Efficient deck lay out

Much effort went into redesigning the deck lay out for the 56. She profited from the research that was done on the 65, where self-sufficiency, simplicity and efficiency are just as important. On the ‘Itinere’ version where all lines join at just one central point, this ease of handling makes the perfectly suitable for a couple.

One step further

With twin helm stations and carbon daggerboards, the Gran Turismo version of the C-Cat 56 takes performance a step further. Choosing the right configuration depends on your sailing experience and cruising plans, and we are happy to discuss which version suits you best.
